Puzzle Notes

Hello solvers!

We're delighted to offer a cryptic from Adam Levine, whose distinctive style we think you'll enjoy. Here's a little about Adam in his own words:

Adam Levine has had puzzles in the New York Times, Out of Left Field Cryptics, and Matt Gaffney's Weekly Crossword Contest, as well as on his own page, knottygrids.blogspot.com. By day, he is a math professor at Duke University. He once performed a Gilbert & Sullivan parody at a math conference that was subsequently described by the Washington Post as "nerdy."

Click the link to solve this puzzle online, although we on the Cryptic team always recommend a nice leisurely paper solve for cryptics as a counterpoint to the speed with which you may be used to solving standard American crosswords.

Thanks as always for your continued support of a kind of puzzle we love dearly and wish there were more of in the US. We'll be back in two weeks with some beginner-friendly fun!

Be well,
The AVCX Cryptic team
